The Sign of Jonah • Matthew 12:38–50

Unbelief lies behind the desire for more evidence than what Scripture furnishes to prove that Jesus is the Messianic Son of God. But he has left one unassailable sign of his greatness: his death-resurrection. He raised himself from death—an impossible feat for all human beings. To reject him leads to a worse state in the end. But those who receive him gain the greatest distinction of membership in the spiritual family of God.
